Student Organizations.
The American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) at the Ohio State University is a student-run organization dedicated to fostering the knowledge of geology and geophysics among its members. It broadens the academic experience of its members and all other students who wish to participate via workshops, seminars, guest lectures, field trips and career counseling. The AAPG student group has also combined with the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) student chapter.
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) at The Ohio State University is a student-run organization, dedicated to meeting the needs of all students interested in the oil and gas industry, specifically the upstream sector.
The Society of Environmental Engineers is a professional organization committed to bringing together students with a common interest in Environmental Engineering, and providing them with networking opportunities, and opportunities to engage in the community while serving the environment. It is an umbrella organization that houses the following former student organizations: the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, the Water Environment Federation, and the American Water Works Association.
