The Subsurface Energy Resource Center is pleased to announce the recipients of SERC’s latest round of Seed Grant Awards, designed to promote and facilitate cross-disciplinary research and collaboration at Ohio State. This most recent call, issued December 7, 2017, is the fourth time SERC has solicited proposals since 2016. New to this call was an expanded scope of eligible research, including the broadest umbrella of energy and environment related research.
The SERC Faculty Advisory Committee (SFAC) is partnering with The School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) to present a talk by Daniel Rami, author of the recent book The Fracking Debate. Scheduled for next Thursday, April 5, in 164 Howlett Hall, 2001 Fyffe Road, the talk will also be streamed at CarmenConnect.osu.edu/raimi.
The SERC Faculty Advisory Committee (SFAC) is presenting a talk by Nicholas Pevzner from the University of Pennsylvania this Friday, March 2. The lecture, entitled Territories of Extraction: Socio-spatial Battleground of the Clean Energy Transition will begin at 12:30 pm on the first floor of Knowlton Hall, 275 West Woodruff Avenue, outside room 176.
